Fund Mobilization Officer

 The position oversees all external fundraising events, marketing campaigns and institutional activities that support the mission of Make-A-Wish® Philippines. This person will also research, cultivate, negotiate and secure cash revenues and in-kind resources from new corporate partnerships. Additionally, the position will work closely with the Executive Director in maintaining relations with existing corporate partners and cultivating potential regional and global sponsorship opportunities.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director/CEO
SUPERVISES: Events Manager, Individual Giving Manager, and Marketing Associate

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Fund Mobilization Team lead, providing strategic and operational direction to secure and grow cash revenues and in-kind resources mainly through corporate partnerships, individual giving programs, fundraising events, cause-related marketing campaigns and institutional activities.
  • Develop customized business plans/proposals and present sales pitches to companies to secure funding for wish granting and office operations.
  • Review and approve marketing collaterals and media assets according to the Make-A-Wish® Brand standards and external communication strategies.
  • Cultivate existing corporate clients to sustain and increase fundraising, in-kind and promotional support.
  • Accountable for meeting the affiliate’s long-term strategic objectives and annual fundraising goals.
  • Analyze current programs according to cash revenues and in-kind resources generated to determine the return on investment and future growth potential of partnerships.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal staff, board members and volunteers in implementing agreed corporate partnership engagements, fundraising and marketing campaigns, wish granting activities and other organizational events.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, non-profit management or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in non-profit organizations and/or in marketing and sales.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing national campaigns and revenue-producing efforts.
  • Experience with expense and revenue budgeting management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and negotiation skills with an ability to overcome objections.
  • Ability to deal with confidential donor/client relationships.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and can handle multiple projects under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to attend and represent the foundation in a weekly business meeting.
  • Willingness to travel for job-related duties and attend events after work hours and/or weekends.
  • High standards of ethics in conducting job-related activities.
  • Can work independently and collaboratively and has the digital connectivity resources to work remotely.

Events Manager

 The position is responsible for initiating and managing external fundraising events, cause-related marketing campaigns, and institutional activities of Make-A-Wish® Philippines. The objective is to raise funds and raise awareness for the foundation.

REPORTS TO: Fund Mobilization Officer

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the Foundation’s external events.
  • Develop and coordinate customized business plans/proposals and sponsorship packages for fundraising events and cause-related marketing campaigns.
  • Accountable for meeting the affiliate’s long-term strategic objectives and annual fundraising goals on fundraising events and cause-related marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze current programs according to cash revenues and in-kind resources generated, positive and widespread media exposure, and benefits to partners to determine the return on investment and future growth potential of partnerships.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal staff, board members and volunteers in implementing agreed external fundraising events, cause-related marketing campaigns, and institutional activities.

Individual Giving Manager

The position is responsible for initiating and managing all individual giving events and campaigns of Make-A-Wish® Philippines. This person will research, cultivate, negotiate and secure cash revenues and in-kind resources from new individual sponsors. Additionally, the position will work closely with the Events Manager on maintaining relations with events supporters and converting into committed giving opportunities.

REPORTS TO: Fund Mobilization Officer

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the Foundation’s individual giving programs. 
  • Develop individual giving and sponsorship packages and present sales pitches to groups and individuals to secure funding for wish granting and office operations. 
  • Cultivate existing one-time donors using a Donor Journey program to increase support and convert into committed/regular sponsors.
  • Accountable for meeting the affiliate’s long-term strategic objectives and annual fundraising goals on individual giving events and campaigns.
  • Analyze current programs according to cash revenues and in-kind resources generated, positive and widespread media exposure, and benefits to partners to determine the return on investment and future growth potential of partnerships.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal staff, board members and volunteers in implementing agreed individual giving programs.

Marketing Associate

The position is responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing and external communication strategies. The objective is to raise funds for the foundation and awareness of the mission and brand of Make-A-Wish®.

REPORTS TO: Fund Mobilization Officer

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing digital marketing projects that will produce revenue and visibility.
  • Plan, execute, measure and optimize communications programs aimed at various target audiences. Manage content curation and storytelling, create and send external communication, and execute in accordance with the annual fundraising and communication plans. 
  • Execute marketing and communications materials to support the Events Manager, Individual Giving Manager, and Corporate Alliances Manager.
  • Write and edit impactful and compelling communication materials that drive community understanding of the impact of a wish as well as the Foundation’s local focus.
  • Manage creation of print, video, advertising, event-related materials, institutional presentations, and email newsletters. Be attuned to the brand and steward consistent application of brand standards.
  • Manage social media presence across all platforms. Develop compelling content that increases followers and amplifies engagement. Engage followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Develop influencer strategy and partnerships to elevate visibility and community engagement.
  • Maintain and updates the affiliate’s website and event sites/pages.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal staff, board members and volunteers in implementing agreed digital marketing campaigns and external communications.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations or related field.
    • Minimum one year experience in digital marketing, influencer marketing, public relations, e-commerce or similar role. 
    • Demonstrated success in developing and managing digital and/or creative communications campaigns.
    • Excellent written and visual communication.
    • Ability to deal with confidential donor/client relationships.
    • Strong computer skills with high proficiency in social media management and graphic design.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects under deadline pressure and with limited supervision.
    • Can work independently and collaboratively and has the digital connectivity resources to work remotely.
